XTec Incorporated's Interoperable Access Control Accepts Diverse Credentials Presented by 500 Attendees at the 2013 Address
Reston, Virginia, February 15, 2013 -- XTec Incorporated provided secure, interoperable access control on Tuesday for attendees and security personnel at President Barack Obama's annual State of the Union address. XTec's XNodes and AuthentX™ physical access control readers accepted Department of Defense Common Access Cards, Department of Homeland Security PIV cards and District of Columbia government officials' PIV-interoperable credentials
"Smart card credentials within the federal government are designed to be interoperable," said Kevin Kozlowski, XTec's vice president of government initiatives. "At XTec, we've proven that not only is interoperability a reality but it can be rapid and mobile."
AuthentX Accountability stations logged 500 transactions during the course of Tuesday night's event. XTec provided similar support for the District of Columbia Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency and the District of Columbia National Guard during the recent 57th Presidential Inauguration.
