XTec Hires New Hardware/Software Development Engineer
MIAMI, FLORIDA, January 2, 2001 -- XTec is pleased to announce the addition of a new member to its team, Randy Debasa. Mr. Debasa has been hired as a Hardware/Software Development Engineer.
In his new capacity, Mr. Debasa is responsible for designing server-side software for the AuthentX system as well as optimizing and designing new card issuance systems. He is involved in developing and integrating biometric (and other) solutions into the card issuance system of AuthenX. Mr. Debasa is also involved in the development of LDAP solutions. Mr. Debasa designs hardware modules for Access control applications, and programs modules, at the microcontroller level, that use Microchip© PIC Microcontrollers.
Mr. Debasa was formerly at the Department of Energy's Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He interned in the Computational Physics and Engineering Division as well as in the Environmental Sciences Division working on parallel computing projects with ecological applications with Forrest Hoffman and Bill Hargrove.
Mr. Debasa has a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Florida International University.
